Yes, the Hitron modem that you receive does have the ability to be put into Bridge Mode, simply follow these steps
Hitron CGNM-3550
- Disconnect the coaxial cable from the Hitron CGNM-3550 (This will help to prevent MAC lock if the customer has multiple devices plugged into the modem)
- Connect a device via an Etherent cable to the 1st LAN port
- Remove all other Ethernet cables to all other LAN ports
- Navigate to the Hitron CGNM-3550's user interface. (192.168.0.1)
- Enter the customer's administrative username and password in the Username and Password fields, then click Login.
- Use the default credentials of cusadmin for the username and password for the password.
- Click on the Basic tab.
- Click on the Gateway Function tab.
- Set the Residential Gateway Function to Disabled.
- Click on Save Changes
*You will either have to use the password you created when you changed the SSID or use the default password that you used when connecting to Wi-Fi
Hitron CODA-4680
- Disconnect the coaxial cable from the Hitron CODA 4680 (This will help to prevent MAC lock if the customer has multiple devices plugged into the modem)
- Connect a device via an Etherent cable to the 1st LAN port
- Remove all other Ethernet cables to all other LAN ports
- Navigate to the Hitron CGN3's user interface. (192.168.0.1)
- Enter the customer's administrative username and password in the Username and Password fields, then click Login.
- Use the default credentials of cusadmin for the username and password for the password.
- Click on the Basic tab.
- Disable the "Residential Gateway Function", then select "Save Changes".
- Click "Ok" on the message that will appears; The modem will now reboot in bridge mode.
- Select the "Gateway Function" tab.
